On January 25, 2024, the unveiling ceremony of the "Belt and Road" International Exchange Base at Zhengzhou Orthopedic Hospital, affiliated with Henan University, was successfully held. Director Wei Xuan from the Joint Department of Zhengzhou Orthopedic Hospital and department members and Zhang Jian, Regional Director of JUST Medical Asia, jointly attended the unveiling ceremony.

Following the ceremony, Director Wei Xuan from Zhengzhou Orthopedic Hospital conducted a live demonstration of knee arthroplasty surgery via video link. The online broadcast attracted numerous orthopedic professionals from countries along the "Belt and Road," with over 2,000 viewers from around the world participating in real-time and nearly 100,000 interactions.

Even after the surgical demonstration, the interaction remained fervent, with physicians from home and abroad meticulously reviewing and analyzing surgical details. They actively questioned and interacted with Director Wei Xuan, creating a lively academic atmosphere with enthusiastic participation and positive feedback.

Achievements: Graduated from Henan Medical University in 1990, engaged in orthopedics since graduation, and has completed over ten thousand hip and knee arthroplasty surgeries, achieving good clinical results. He has rich clinical experience in hip and knee arthroplasty surgery and revision. He has published dozens of papers in national journals and participated in and completed clinical research projects such as "Clinical Application and Comparative Study of Domestic and Imported Knee Arthroplasty" and "Clinical Study of Cementless Hip Arthroplasty Revision Surgery," winning the second prize of Science and Technology Progress 

Award of Zhengzhou City and the first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of Henan Provincial Administration.

The research projects "Clinical Study on Optimization of Treatment for Knee Joints with Moderate to Severe Flexion Contracture Deformity Arthroplasty" and "Individualized Study on Total Hip Arthroplasty for Adult Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip" both won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Henan Provincial Administration.
