Bridging International Perspectives and Academic Wisdom: Successful Conclusion of the "Belt and Road" Joint Health Academic Exchange & Sino-Thai Experts Symposi

On May 24th, the "Belt and Road" Joint Health Academic Exchange & Sino-Thai Experts Symposium concluded successfully. Hosted by the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Functional and Personalized Research on Bone Implant Interface and organized by the JUST Innovation Institute, the event brought together Chinese and Thai orthopedic experts and scholars. The focus was on unicompartmental knee replacement, total knee arthroplasty, and AI-intelligent surgical techniques, with online and offline lectures and discussions to share valuable experiences.

The conference began with opening remarks from Chinese expert Professor Jun Liu of Tianjin Hospital and Thai expert Prof. Dr. Kachain, who expressed their outlook and expectations for the event.

The event was divided into three specialized sessions: the Unicompartmental Academic Session, the TKA/TKR Academic Session, and the Surgical Robotics Academic Session. Invited speakers for the Unicompartmental Academic Session included Professor Guobin Liu from the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University, Professor Chen Zhu from Anhui Provincial Hospital, and Professor Xiaofei Zhang from Tianjin Hospital. The Knee Joint Academic Session featured Professor Xu Cai from Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, Professor Tao Yang from Tianjin Hospital, and Thai expert Dr. Pon. The AI Session had contributions from Professor Zijian Li from Peking University Third Hospital, Professor Bing Li from Tianjin Hospital, and Thai expert Dr. Krits, who shared their surgical techniques, case studies, and practical demonstrations.

Additionally, the Thai experts visited the JUST Medical Headquarters, where they toured the facility, gained in-depth knowledge of joint products, and established deep strategic cooperation.

The "Belt and Road" Joint Health Academic Exchange & Sino-Thai Experts Symposium provided a new platform for technical exchanges between China and Thailand. It not only consolidated the technical and theoretical foundations but also looked ahead to future development trends in joint surgery, which positively promoted innovation in the joint field between China and Thailand.
