On February 14, 2024, the Cartistem® SVF Adipose Collector was used for the first time in Thailand by Professor Aree TANAVALEE at Chulalongkorn Hospital to treat early-stage knee arthritis. The surgery was successfully completed.
Following up with the patient for nearly four months, the knee pain was significantly reduced, achieving the expected surgical goals. The patient is still under follow-up.

Professor Aree TANAVALEE is the Head of the Department of Orthopedics at the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. He is a former President of the Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand (RCOST) and the Asia Pacific Knee Society (APKS), and the current President of the Thai Hip and Knee Society (THKS).
Professor Tanavalee has published numerous papers and authored several books on knee and hip replacement both domestically and internationally.
